Our company was built from the ground up by our director and Mental Health nurse Sue over 30 years and the day to day running is managed by her daughter Rebecca. Being a family business, we want to take care of our staff so they are in the best position to provide the best care for our residents.

As a One-to-One Carer the purpose of your role is to assist a single resident from morning until bed.
Your primary duties will be
• To stay with the service user while they are awake, keeping them company, and monitoring their behaviour to make sure they stay safe
• To assist the service user moving between areas and going out for walks
• Assistance with meals
• To read and write reports; take part in staff and service users’ meetings and in training activities as directed.

• To encourage and assist the service user to remain as independent as possible.
• To encourage and assist the service user to tend to their personal hygiene.
• To assist the service user if they are temporarily unwell and need minor dressings, bed nursing etc.
• To perform such other duties as may reasonably be required.

We are looking for a kind, patient person who is a good communicator and can help the service user with their daily routine.

Experience in a caring role and an NVQ Level 2 are preferred. We will require proof of full COVID-19 vaccination in line with government rules. At Ashton Care we like to invest in our staff so we will provide any training needed and we can support you all the way to a Nursing degree.

Any time you move up another level of qualifications, we increase your pay. The pay displayed is the base rate that will change depending on your level of qualification.
